What are chronic inflammatory processes?

Chronic inflammatory processes in dogs and cats are a common concern for pet owners. They can be caused by various reasons, such as autoimmune diseases, chronic injuries, or gastrointestinal problems, and can have a negative impact on the health of pets.

The most common symptoms include pain, swelling, etc. Some of the most common chronic inflammatory pathologies in dogs and cats include:

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis: Chronic inflammation in the joints, which can cause pain and limit mobility in the affected area.
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease:Chronic inflammation in the digestive tract, which can lead to gastrointestinal problems.
  • Atopic Dermatitis: A skin condition that causes inflammation of the skin and constant itching.

Diagnosis and management of these chronic inflammatory pathologies are essential to ensure the well-being of pets. Regular consultation with a veterinarian is crucial to assess the health of pets and address any signs of chronic inflammation promptly.
